Matthew Harvey is a photographer and artist known for his book Future Estate.
Between 2018 and 2024, he traveled extensively, photographing various ecological and infrastructural contexts transformed by large-scale capital investments. His interest in these subjects emerged while working in offset printing houses across East Asia, Europe, and North America, where he was drawn to the complex and often chaotic environments at the fringes of industrial zones.
Future Estate is a 208-page hardcover book published by Roma Publications in 2024. The book is richly illustrated with color photographs that capture Harvey’s explorations and observations of these shifting landscapes.
In addition to Future Estate, Harvey has also published other works, including Metamorphosis – The Instructions in 2022, a 32-page English-language book.
Harvey’s work focuses on the impact of economic and ecological changes on landscapes and societies, documenting and investigating complex transformations.
