In response to the exhibition project IF IT IS, WHERE IS IT?, we have invited Nina Hendrickx (former director of Zeno X) to engage in conversation with Bart Lodewijks, Marc Nagtzaam, and Roger Willems.
A discussion about responsibility and what it means to create an exhibition. About the (in)dependence and position of the artist, about drawing and the focus it demands, but also about the harshness of the world and how an artist can or should relate to it.
For the first part of IF IT IS, WHERE IS IT?, Marc Nagtzaam, in line with the publications of ROMA, has brought together a selection of works by the following artists: gerlach en koop, Hans Demeulenaere, Uta Eisenreich, Geert Goiris, Nick Geboers, Karin Herwegh, and Henri Jacobs.
For the second part, Bart Lodewijks invites artists whose work engages in dialogue with his own way of thinking and working: Nicolas Floc'h, Geert Goiris, Matthew Harvey, Arjan Janssen, Henri Jacobs, Jan Kempenaers, Marja Lodewijks, and Ari Marcopoulos.
On 29 March, these trajectories will come together in a unified presentation where the work of all participating artists will meet. This presentation is curated in close collaboration with Bart Lodewijks, Marc Nagtzaam, and Roger Willems of ROMA Publications. The exhibition will be open for just one day.
Everyone is welcome to this special day of transition!
See you then!
