More than 30 Antwerp art galleries and M HKA join forces to show what connects them.

In May and June, you can see works from the M HKA collection in galleries and art spaces across the city as part of M HKA On the spot. Together, we highlight the importance of this unique collection: as the heart of the museum, a driving force for the art scene, and a major asset for Antwerp. Also on view during Antwerp Art Weekend (14–17 May 2026).

On display at our gallery is the work “Still Life With Globes” (2018) by Alexandra Paperno.

Alexandra Paperno - Still Life with Globes, 2018 - acrylic on canvas - 100 x 130 cm

Alexandra Paperno creates paintings and graphic works characterised by sky-blue hues with subtle tonal variations, exploring themes such as modernist architecture, astronomy and utopia. Still Life With Globes is a mildly ironic still life in which our planet is reduced to a handy globe. It confronts us with the idea that we, as humans, are terribly alone in a remote corner of the boundless universe.
