vana is widely known as the artistic director of Croxhapox, the non-commercial platform for contemporary art in Ghent founded in 1990. Croxhapox is recognized for its experimental and multidisciplinary approach, engaging with music, film, poetry, art criticism, and other boundary-pushing artistic practices.
Alongside his work as curator and organizer, vana is a co-founder and vocalist of the band The Singing Painters. Writing and organizing have been central to his trajectory, yet painting has always remained a constant and essential part of his artistic practice.
